The technology to fake a counterfeit card is as close as your nearest Radio Shack store. The times of simple mail order fraud have advanced to thousands of dollars worth of fraudulent internet orders. And the times of a compromised credit card number haved turned to counterfeit cards.
A counterfeit card is created when a fraudster has possession of your cardnumber, and he or she then uses the coding of your magnetic strip to create their own card with their own name printed on the front. For example, Kim Jones name appear on the front of her card and is billed to card number 4545-12365-2365. A fraudster creates a counterfeit card and prints the name Deon Smith on the front of the card and bills to card number 4545-12365-2365. When Kim receives her monthly statement, she will notice thousands of dollars of charges that she did not make.
